Love ShopRite in Roxborough. I basically am repeating what I wrote on Oct. 2 about this store. I especially want to mention Lauren, a checkout person, again. She is pleasant, charming and efficient. When is the last time you had a supermarket checkout person greet you with a big, friendly smile and thank you for shopping there? Maybe 1957? It is shocking (in a good way)! Lauren rocks!!!
This market was great. Good selection of produce and the place was really clean. Bonus for gas station too, super convenient.
Very good supermarket. Prices are as fair as they can be during these times. However just one thing. Brown family, please have managers keep an eye on self checkout attendants There are always a couple of time things stop and you have to ask for assistance. Happens more often now with bringing your own bags. I was 3 scanners down from 2 girls standing there there looking down at their phones. They weren't watching the customers at all. I had to keep getting them. Seemed annoyed to be asked. She scanned a card and left with her back to me and didn't say a word like "there you go" or "sorry about that". Not the Brown customer service I'm used to. Otherwise, a good experience.
This is my go-to store for regular grocery runs. The staff is very helpful, produce quality is good, the deli service is great, the meat prices especially when using digital coupons is lower than in most other area stores, house brand products are of very good quality and very reasonably priced, and the product selection is sometimes overwhelming (which is good). When you go into the parking lot you may have to look for a space but that only tells you how popular this store is. The next week's circular is available on Wednesday which I'm a big fan of since I always try to plan ahead. My only request would be to double the number of small carts since sometimes I pop in after work for a few things and would prefer a compact car to a semi and it's often by luck that I get one. Great Store Overall!
Hey, this ShopRite is popular. Stopping in mid-afternoon during the week, found the parking lot almost full. But inside, although the store was busy, people were good with the masks and the social distancing. It's fairly spacious, wide-aisled. At checkout, they have staff there to direct shoppers from the general queue to specific cashiers. Nice crowd control! Store was well-stocked, even to the point of having 00 flour: your choice, conventional or organic. Can it get better than that?
